The Approach
ROAM is simple to use because the system underneath it is not simple.
What it looks like in operation
A ROAM deployment is not software you are handed. It is a six-month embedded build, done alongside you, in your actual operating conditions.
Authority moves slowly and deliberately: observe, then prepare, then act. Nothing is delegated before the system has demonstrated it understands the situation.
Six months, embedded
The build moves from understanding, to preparing, to acting.
Month 1
Mapping
We sit inside the business and write down what is actually true: offers, customers, commitments, systems, people, recurring decisions, and the moments that currently require you personally. Nothing is delegated yet.
Month 2
Context and memory
The operating model is built. What ROAM should know, what must persist, what normal looks like, and where the edges of your judgment sit. You review it in plain language, not configuration screens.
Month 3
Sensing, quietly
ROAM begins watching the marketing environment and reporting what it notices — without authority to act. You correct its interpretations. Most of the value in this month is in what it learns to ignore.
Month 4
Prepared work
ROAM starts preparing responses, drafts, routing and recommendations for your approval. You are still the last step, but you are no longer the first one.
Month 5
Delegated authority
Where the pattern has proven stable, authority is handed over piece by piece. Everything material still escalates. Everything ROAM does stays legible.
Month 6
Handover and steady state
The operating model is documented, the boundaries are settled, and the loop runs without a standing meeting. We step back to a lighter cadence — the system stays yours.
How it feels week to week
High-touch during the build, deliberately quiet afterwards.
- A weekly working session while the model is being built.
- A single written operating note each week — what changed, what ROAM did, what needed you.
- Direct access for corrections; a correction is treated as a design input, not a support ticket.
- No dashboards to check. If something needs you, it comes to you.
What you end up with
- A written operating model of your own business.
- A system that notices change and responds proportionately.
- Clear boundaries for what runs without you.
- A record of what happened and why.
What stays with you
- Authorship of the work.
- Taste, tone and creative direction.
- The relationships that matter.
- Every decision that changes the shape of the business.
Six months in. Then mostly out of the way.
